It allowed me to monitor my home from anywhere I was without any hassle. It was amazing when I installed it on my phone. The same issue has occurred on multiple mobile devices. The problem is not with my internet speed. The app freezes up, and you won't be able to playback. It's best to not play or review past recordings until you return to your device. Since over 3.5 years, I have had my Night Owl system. It does what it's supposed to, but the UI design is not intuitive and it doesn't seem dynamic. It sometimes doesn't connect automatically to your device, so go to the device manager to select it. The app is great for viewing basic Night Owl HD security cameras. Please fix all bugs, you have plenty of time. The other three years were spent trying to get connected. I've only seen remote viewing for one year. The cameras are great, but the remote viewing claims about the camera's performance seem almost fraudulent. I have had the night-owl system for 4 years. While I can connect to my DVR with a strong wifi signal, there are still issues. However, most times you can't connect to your DVR. The system is not recommended if your interests are the same as mine. The resolution is great, but I purchased the system to allow me to remotely monitor my home with my phone. Both scan and IP/domain failed to connect. It also drains your battery, even when you close the app.Īpp doesn't work. The screen then turns to white and displays an "application encountered an execting, please leave" message. I have not been able connect to my cameras for weeks. It seems that I can sell the system and switch to another brand. App shows the model, but it will not show 4 cameras. Update: I am now 2 years old and have already done all that tech told me to. It will connect for less than one day if I remove it and then reinstall. It worked fine up until the latest update. They tell me that I need to purchase a new phone after I have done everything asked. This company is horrible and their tech support is terrible. No problems with monitor connected directly to the device. Device, ethernet and wifi all work great. Update: Followed developers' suggestions. The system has been in place for five years.

The next system will be to check Android reviews. It can cause anxiety and even panic if it isn't working properly. The whole idea is to be able to rest easy knowing that your security cameras and system are working. You are always screwed if there's an update. I must uninstall the app and then reinstall it again. It doesn't work most of the time, and even when techs are available they don't have time to fix it.

Do not buy this system if you have concerns about your office or home security. A second system was purchased by me, which I regret. The device "connects" 99 percent of the time, but it never connects unless I am at work and connected to the same wi-fi network.
